Oh How We Love a Softie…

Earlier this week, as I was unpacking a new order of Hazel Village soft toy animals, Amelia caught a glimpse of the very lovely Juliette Rabbit – with her crisp white dress, delicate pink bow around the waist and an irresistibly cute face, it was love at first sight. Her eyes lit up, she rushed over to me and uttered ‘ta? ta? ta?’ with a mixture of excitement and determination. I was then required to spend the next fifteen minutes trying to distract her with other toys in an attempt to get the Hazel Village creatures into the safety of the storage room and help her forget her instant attraction for Juliette… little does she know that she will be getting her very own Juliette for Easter!

And so it is that I discovered that Amelia and I don’t just share a love of gorgeous shoes (yellow ones in particular) but we also share a love of soft handmade toys.

So far, it would seem that Amelia has three favourite ‘Softies’. There is Bendy, the classic fluffy teddy she cuddles to sleep each night. There is the handmade Jenni Harley doll  who she pushes around in her toy pram (more about her later), and now there is Juliette.

Amelia with her gorgeous Jenni Harley creation left, and cuddly Bendy right.

I on the other hand have many favourite softies and I would love to share them with you! Some of them (like the loveable creatures from Hazel Village and the gorgeous girls from Severina Kids) are available in store now at Millie Abroad,  while some (like Little Ladies) will be arriving soon and the others… well they are just too lovely not to share. Enjoy!
